Connecting Wasson Way to the Murray Path

Monday, January 24, 2022 by Caitlin Sparks

The Wasson Way Trail from the Ault Park bridge down to Old Red Bank Road is open! The new zig-zag switchback trail offers tree-top views and makes climbing and descending the hillside easy and enjoyable. And at the bottom of the hill you can keep going! Take a look at the Ride with GPS link and photos below for a step-by-step route that will help you connect with the Murray Path in Fairfax.

This connection marks a significant advocacy win for Tri-State Trails and CROWN. For years, Wasson Way was planned to continue over three more railroad trestles and terminate at Wooster Pike, without making this connection to the Murray Path. Thanks to support for the CROWN vision from so many partners, now Fairfax, Madisonville, Mariemont, and Columbia Township are connected to the trail network. We’re working with Great Parks of Hamilton County, ODOT, Columbia Township, and Mariemont to design the final link from Plainville Road to the Little Miami Scenic Trail at Fifty West Brewery.
