Help Shape Public Art on Wasson Way
Thursday, February 27, 2025 by Caitlin Sparks
Exciting changes are coming to the Wasson Way trail in Avondale!
ArtWorks and Tri-State Trails are partnering to install two new public art pieces at the end of Blair Court, where a recently opened trail connection now links the Avondale neighborhood to The CROWN urban trail loop. Funded by a National Endowment for the Arts grant, this project will also create four part-time apprentice jobs through ArtWorks.
Now, we need your input! Two proposed installations—a vibrant ground mural and a welcoming gateway sculpture—will celebrate the Avondale community and its nearby neighbors. We want those who live, work, attend school, or own property in Avondale—as well as former residents—and those in Walnut Hills, Evanston, Corryville, and other nearby communities to help shape the creative vision. Share your ideas by completing this survey and spreading the word to your community!

By adding these artistic elements, we aim to enhance the trail’s cultural and civic value while also inspiring more usage and fostering community pride. Join us in creating a welcoming space along the CROWN trail!
