Tri-State Trails Launches Gear Donation Grant

Friday, August 14, 2020 by Wade Johnston

Thanks to the generous support of the Devou Good Foundation, Tri-State Trails is able to provide local advocacy organizations and community groups with supplies to make bicycling more accessible, safe, and inclusive in the Tri-State.

To be considered for a gear donation, please complete this form. Here are some examples of gear we can provide through this grant: lights, U-locks, helmets, bells, multi-tools, reflective vests, water bottles, and educational literature. Because of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we intend to purchase quality supplies that will last–so they won’t end up in the landfill. If there’s an item you would like to distribute that’s not listed, you can submit that for our consideration in the application form.

This is a pilot program and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through December 2021. Supplies are limited and will be distributed at the discretion of staff. In an effort to broaden our audience of existing riders, priority will be given to organizations that engage with underrepresented groups in the biking community (e.g. people of color, women, LGBTQ individuals, and/or low-income communities).

The only requirement for receiving a gear donation is to track the number of individuals you distribute to and send us some photos of the event.
