Tri-State Trails Endorses Great Parks Levy Renewal
Thursday, October 16, 2025 by Caitlin Sparks
A Shared Vision for Parks, Trails, and Community Connection
Tri-State Trails is proud to endorse the renewal of the 1-mill levy for Great Parks, which will appear on the ballot this November 4. This critical funding supports the stewardship of natural areas, the expansion of trails, and the continued maintenance of some of the region’s most beloved parks.
As an organization dedicated to connecting and expanding Greater Cincinnati’s trail and bikeway network, our mission closely aligns with Great Parks’ commitment to providing outdoor recreation for current and future generations. Two priorities in Great Parks’ ten-year Master Plan—building more trails and strengthening partnerships—perfectly complement our shared goals of accessibility, connectivity, and environmental preservation.
A Strong Partnership for Regional Trails
Over the years, Tri-State Trails has been honored to collaborate with Great Parks on several transformative projects across Hamilton County, including:
- Little Miami Scenic Trail Beechmont Bridge Connector
- Columbia Connector
- Ohio River Trail / Oasis Trail
- Glenwood Gardens to Winton Woods Trail
- West Region Blueway & Trails System
These projects represent the kind of regional connectivity that makes our trail network stronger, safer, and more accessible for everyone.
Leveraging Local Investment for Greater Impact
Beyond trail construction, Great Parks has demonstrated exceptional leadership in maximizing public investment. By leveraging local levy funds with state, federal, and private grants, Great Parks ensures that every taxpayer dollar goes further, supporting large-scale projects like the CROWN, Mill Creek Triangle Trail, and Great Miami River Trail. These initiatives extend the reach of Great Parks’ impact to communities across Hamilton County and beyond.
Protecting and Enhancing the Region’s Natural Legacy
Tri-State Trails applauds Great Parks’ ongoing commitment to conservation, recreation, and community partnerships. The renewal of the 1-mill levy is essential to sustaining these efforts and ensuring that Hamilton County residents continue to enjoy world-class parks, thriving ecosystems, and connected trails for generations to come.
We encourage voters to support the renewal levy on November 4 and help keep our region’s parks and trails strong, connected, and vibrant. Learn more about the Great Parks levy and what it means for Hamilton County residents → greatparks.org/levy
