Supporting Tri-State Trails with 2:1 matching grant

Sunday, December 5, 2021 by Caitlin Sparks

The past two years have illustrated how critical connection is in our community. For so many people, our expanding trail network has been a place to connect–both to places and with people. And yet, there is still a critical need for continued investment to ensure everyone has access to a walkable and bikeable community.

That’s why Tri-State Trails exists. We help communities make plans to connect–with scenic trails, safe bikeways, and accessible pedestrian paths. Thanks to your support, we are reaching more neighborhoods, and tackling impactful regional projects.

In 2021, with help from many of our partners, we made great strides to get infrastructure on the ground with projects like CROWN and protected bike lanes on Clifton Avenue. We’ve empowered people to get on their bikes today by creating a new Low-Stress Bike Map for our region, installing bike repair stations around town, and supporting pop-up bike shops in many communities.

We’re able to make a difference because of people like you. We’re reaching out during this season of generosity to ask for your continued support. Now through December 31, your donation will be tripled thanks to a generous 2:1 matching grant from the Devou Good Foundation. We’ve raised $15,000 so far–will you help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000?

With appreciation,

The Tri-State Trails’ Team
