Help UC understand connection between bike share and transit

Friday, October 9, 2020 by Wade Johnston

Master of Community Planning student Will Rogers III is conducting a study to understand the connection between transit and bike share. Pease take this 9 minute survey to share your opinion. Approved by the University of Cincinnati’s Institutional Review Board (research study 2020-0654), the results from this Master’s Thesis this study may improve Cincinnati’s transportation network. It is completely anonymous. No personal identifying information are collected.

The purpose of this study is to help practicing planners and academics understand what is preventing more people from integrating Red Bikes with trails and transit (called the “first/last mile problem”). First/last mile research involving bike-share incorporating trails and a people-centered approach is especially limited. Will intends to publish the paper to the Transportation Research Board’s peer-reviewed journal and to speak at their annual conference in 2021.
