17th Annual Breakfast on the Bridge
Tri-State Trails and our presenting sponsor, Cincinnati Metro, invite everyone to celebrate National Bike-to-Work (or Anywhere) Day at the 17th Annual Breakfast on the Bridge, Greater Cincinnati’s signature Bike Month tradition. Join us on the Newport side of the Purple People Bridge for complimentary coffee, local breakfast treats, and a morning full of community and connection.

Important Purple People Bridge Information
The Cincinnati-side access to the Purple People Bridge is closed from May 4–June 8 while long-term repairs are underway. In addition, the Fourth Street Bridge has been removed to make way for a new crossing expected in 2028. Arriving at Breakfast on the Bridge by bike or on foot will require a little extra planning this year.
- From Cincinnati: Use the Taylor–Southgate Bridge sidewalks. We recommend the east side for the most direct route to Newport on the Levee and the event. View our suggested detour route from Washington Park to the event.
- From Covington: Cross via the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge and continue to the Taylor–Southgate Bridge, or use the 12th Street bike lane into Newport.
Plan ahead, give yourself a little extra time, and consider using the Low-Stress Bike Map or riding with friends.
