Get into Gear for Bike Month

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 by Caitlin Sparks

May is National Bike Month—a time to celebrate the joy of bicycling and promote its many benefits for our health, environment, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just dusting off your bike for the first time this year, there’s no better moment to ride. In the Greater Cincinnati region, Tri-State Trails and the bike community are rolling out a full calendar of events designed to get you moving, meeting new people, and having fun on two wheels. From helpful ride-planning resources to local group rides and exciting community gatherings, these activities highlight the function, fun, and freedom that bikes bring to our daily lives.

The centerpiece of our celebration is Breakfast on the Bridge on Friday, May 16—a beloved tradition that has grown into one of the largest Bike to Work Day events in Ohio and Kentucky.

We wish everyone a joyful and safe Bike Month—whether you’re riding solo, with friends, or as part of a local event. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come, the community we’ve built, and the trails we’re creating for generations to come.
